Vocal Quality Audition Materials

The Vocal Quality test has changed! It is no longer a trio format, but, instead, each student will sing alone and be recorded. For more information, check the All-State Documents page.

Vocalises

Both vocalises must be performed on the syllable “zaw” (IPA: [za]). The consonant should not be reiterated on each pitch.

Prepared Excerpts

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: One of the remaining two audition excerpts will be from the All-State Women’s Chorus or All-State Men’s Chorus repertoire.
